Notes of violets, dried herbs, minerals and restrained oak are allied to concentrated raspberry and currant fruit impressions in this vibrant, silky wine which shows a refined tannic structure supported by fresh acidity.

Wine maker notes

Michele Chiarlo produces his Asili Barbaresco from a vineyard of two and a half acres under contract which he directly manages and cultivates. Following harvest, fermentation is initiated at 28º to 29º C and after a few days the temperature is lowered by several degrees and completed over the course of the next two weeks. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for 15 months before bottling.
